Episode 9: Knitting bags
Welcome to episode 9 of The Ordinary Knitter. This week: knitting bags, dropping a Clanger, accidental beginner lace projects and yarn deficit disorder. I hope you like the intro music (credit at the foot of the page).

Ft knitting videos:
- How to Knit Lace – Lesson 4 – this explains the ‘no stitch’ instruction on a lace chart
- Knitting Help – Yarn Over
- Knitting Help – Knitting Through the Back Loop
This isn’t a video but is a very helpful explanation of the concept of the yarn over. For ages I thought it was actually a stitch, ie move the yarn then K1. This page explains it very well.
Tutorial: Doing a Yarn Over the Right Way
Knitting bags
Here you see the hotchpotch of bags and boxes I use to keep everything together. The biscuit tins I couldn’t pass up and I don’t use enough make-up these days to fill the pink bag. The spotty red bag has become a spare project bag and the yarn bag is storage. The queen of my receptacle collection is my I heart Beer bag. It does the job without a murmur and has never let me down.

And last but not least: Vlad, or Major Clanger?
